Thesis Process
•
Requirements
Gathering - The collection of a set of statements which
define what needs to be provided by a solution to meet the expectations of the
sponsor, stakeholders and users. The collection of requirements is obtained by
interviews, RAP sessions and/or workshops.
•
Design strategy –Design strategy is the discipline
which helps firms determine what to make and do, why do it and how to innovate
contextually, both immediately and over the long term. This process involves
the interplay between design and business strategy.
•
Implementation - It is the realization of an
application, or execution of a plan, idea, model, design, specification,
standard, algorithm, or policy. In the IT Industry, implementation refers to
post-sales process of guiding a client from purchase to use of the software or
hardware that was purchased. This includes requirements analysis, scope
analysis, customizations, systems integrations, user policies, user training
and delivery.
•
Testing -
testing is finding out how well something works. In terms of human
beings, testing tells what level of knowledge or skill has been acquired. In
computer hardware and software development, testing is used at key checkpoints
in the overall process to determine whether objectives are being met. For example,
in software development, product objectives are sometimes tested by product
user representatives. When the design is complete, coding follows and the
finished code is then tested at the unit or module level by each programmer; at
the component level by the group of programmers involved; and at the system
level when all components are combined together. At early or late stages, a
product or service may also be tested for usability.
